2010 priorities

i) The Main Priority for 2010

is to develop the health of all three Sunday congregations by

establishing a team, led by Ro Willoughby, to take day-to-day responsibility for growing and maturing the Early Start service;
identifying, articulating and implementing a clear vision for the 11am service; and
exploring the feasibility of transitioning Celebrate @ 7 into a mission-shaped, weekly evening service led by David Marriott that is open to all but intentionally accessible to teens and young adults.

To ensure that the Children’s and Families Ministry Co-ordinator experiences a good induction, is enabled quickly to discern key priorities, and has a clear focus to their work so that our ministry to children and families grows.
To make the most of the mission-related opportunities presented by the occasional offices, the church calendar and invitational events such as Back to Church Sunday.
To develop more effective pastoral care so people feel valued and are helped to grow in faith and service.
To encourage enquirers to explore and experience faith in Christ by providing occasional ‘bridging events’ and ensuring that Alpha is run at least once this year.
To discern how we can develop new and appropriate forms of midweek-week small-groups.
To encourage an increasing number of church members to practise the discipline of Christian giving, so that we have the necessary resources for sustaining and developing our ministry and mission.
