Manorside Primary School
Manorside is a one-form entry Community Primary School which is located very near to St Paul’s. Over the last few years our links with the school have grown considerably. This link is expressed in various ways, including:
- Prayer for the school;
- Hosting and leading workshops on Christianity and the significance of the Church Building for pupils from Reception through to Year 6;
- Hosting and leading workshops on the life of St Paul, and 125 years of St Paul's Finchley, as part of St Paul's 125th Anniversary.
- Hosting and leading a workshop on life in Sudan for Years 5 and 6, as part of the school’s international week in the summer of 2010.
- Hosting and leading a 'Christmas Experience' workshop for Year 3 in November 2011.
- Our Clergy and Children’s and Families’ Community Worker taking assemblies on Christian themes and festivals;
- Our Clergy visiting different Year groups to assist in the teaching of Religious Education;
- Members of our staff team going on annual visits by Year 6 pupils to St Paul’s Cathedral;
- The School contributing to our giving to TearFund at harvest-tide in 2008 and 2009; and in 2010 the School Council decided to give £100 to the Playbus Project, Lima, which we are linked to through the Anglican Church of Peru;
- The purchase of Christian resources.
