St Mary's CE Primary School
St Paul’s is one of two Church of England churches that are linked with St Mary’s CE Primary School, our local two-form entry Church of England Primary School, located in Dollis Park, Finchley. This link is expressed in various ways, including:
- Prayer for the school and assisting in the development of its Christian ethos;
- Providing four members of the school’s governing body, one of whom is the Vicar;
- Our Vicar serving as one of two link Governors for Collective Worship and Religious Education and chairing the school’s Collective Worship planning group;
- Hosting the Year 6 Leavers’ service each July;
- Hosting the School’s Senior Leadership Team for occasional ‘away days';
- Church members being involved in the running of the Friends of St Mary’s Association;
- Our Clergy and Children’s and Families’ Community Worker regularly leading acts of Collective Worship;
- Running educational workshops for pupils in Key Stage 2;
- Hosting and leading workshops on the life of St Paul, and 125 years of St Paul's Finchley, as part of St Paul's 125th Anniversary.
- The school choir singing in special services at St Paul’s, including our annual Carols by Candlelight service;
- The purchase of Christian resources for Religious Education and Collective Worship
- Providing pastoral support at times of need.
The Governing Body is responsible for the admission of pupils and its admissions policy is available at www.stmarysfinchley.co.uk/keyinfo.asp Foundation Places are available for any child whose parent(s) or those with parental responsibility are faithful and regular worshippers at St Paul’s.
