Background

St Paul's Toddler Club

The St Paul's Toddler Club has two morning sessions every week during term time. They are for children up to three years old and their carers (not just Mums - several Dads, Grandmothers, Grandfathers and nannies are, or have been, members). The meetings last for two hours, with lots of activities - painting, sticking, playing with play doh, sand and water.

There is a book and puzzle corner for those who just want to be quiet and a home corner for those who want to dress up and play mums and dads. There are toys provided for the babies on rugs away from the trikes ridden by the older children. Half way through the mums have tea and biscuits and the kids have juice and biscuits. After all the toys have been put away and all the washing up has been done we have twenty to thirty minutes of singing, when the children scream and shriek with some songs and march and stamp with others.

The toddler club is run by members of the church but anyone who lives in the area is welcome to join. Everyone involved - parents and children - are invited to the 9.15 Early Start service on Sundays and to major events like the Christmas services and Mothering Sunday. Several people who are now committed Christians first came into contact with St Paul's through the toddler club.

The Toddler Club meets on Thursday & Friday mornings, between 09.30 & 11.30, during term time.  For more information, contact the Church Office.
